At the cram school I attended as a child, we meditated and recited Kenji Miyazawa's poem at the end of each class.  Our teacher who was the head of the cram school was called not ‘teacher’ but ‘Uncle’. There are many quotes of Uncle, one of which is, "You shouldn’t easily get angry but when you are insulted, you must".
