The house we used to live in in the south of England had a small orchard at the back of the garden. There were just a few apple and pear trees, hidden away where no one could see them. The leaves crunched under my feet as I walked. When the fruit was ripe, lots of bars came and ate it all. I can still feel that sweet, gentle breeze.
